The Kinnegad CE Scheme moved offices in 2011 to St. Joseph’s Parish Hall in Rochfortbridge, Co. Westmeath. Since the move in May 2011 some changes have taken place and the feedback from sponsors & the CE participants have been encouraging.

The administrative centre of the scheme in the Parish Hall continues to be expertly handled by two extremely competent CE administrators.  Some new polices have been adopted by the new committee for the efficient running of the scheme with the approval of the main sponsoring group.

From 2005 the group has expanded to take in community and voluntary groups from Milltownpass and Rochfortbridge.

In 2008, Kinnegad CE Scheme again expanded to take in groups from the Castlejordan/Ballinabrackey area.

In 2012 due to the continued success of the CE scheme we were able to introduce two new Sponsor groups to the scheme Kinnegad Juniors AFC and Milltownpass GAA.

The CE Scheme creates an awareness of community involvement, fosters a pride in the environment, provides an opportunity to include the marginalised and socially disadvantaged offering them retraining and supporting their introduction back into the workplace and can provide recreational facilities for the young and elderly.
